Waiting

Oh what a day - I caught the train all by myself to a place called Bright River.  Doesn't that sound just divine. How could a place with a name like that be anything but simply gorgeous.
I got off the train and waited on the seat that the station master pointed out for me.  I looked anxiously up and down the street - waiting for my new family.  After what seemed like an eternity a horse and cart headed towards the station and I leaned forward on my chair in anticipation.
My hopes were dashed when they went straight past me and into the stations masters office but then I heard them discussing a little boy - apparently this man was expecting another person from the orphan asylum but he hadn't arrived. After much discussion this gentleman decided an error had been made and I was in fact the orphan he was to pick up.
